March 2008Central PA Rehabilitation Services, Inc. (CPRS Physical Therapy), with 17
offices throughout Dauphin, Cumberland, York, Perry and Lancaster Counties, is proud
to announce their expansion into the Lancaster area with the recent acquisition
of Lancaster-based BHB Rehabilitation.
Founded in 1972 as Lanco Therapy Associates,
BHB Rehabilitation provides Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy through
enduring relationships with patients, physicians and the community. With locations
in Gap, Hempfield, Rothsville, Strasburg, New Holland, Maytown and Quarryville,
the company has earned a reputation for quality service in the rehabilitation industry
throughout Lancaster County and is excited to join the team of professionals at
CPRS Physical Therapy, Judy Hickes, former
BHB Rehabilitation Services President says of the acquisition; “The joining
of our companies provides an excellent opportunity to continue providing high standards
of professional care to meet the needs of our communities. The philosophies
of our companies are quite similar which makes this an easy transition.”
CPRS Physical Therapy, known for their exceptional staff of professionals and “Hands
that Heal. Hearts that Care” philosophy, is celebrating 25 years of providing Physical
Therapy, Sports Rehabilitation, Occupational Health and Wellness
services throughout the central Pennsylvania region and surrounding areas. CPRS
Physical Therapists place a high emphasis on one-on-one patient treatment intended
to restore or facilitate normal function or development through the use of manual
techniques, therapeutic exercise and the application of modalities. CPRS anticipates
the acquisition to be a win-win situation for both companies; it allows CPRS to
establish a stronger presence in the Lancaster area and to become the area’s premier
Private Practice Physical Therapy company, while still affording patients and staff
the comfort and convenience of seeing the same familiar faces they’ve been accustomed
to at BHB Rehabilitation. Executive VP of Administration Jill L Sitlinger MPT, OCS,
Cert MDT and Executive VP of Clinic Operations Tom Marsilio, MPT are “very optimistic
about the outcome created by this acquisition. The addition of BHB Rehab to CPRS
Physical Therapy is the result of two companies with similar histories and philosophies
collectively joining forces to be more efficient and effective in navigating the
future health care environment. The strength and focus that this addition has created
will position CPRS Physical Therapy to become the premier provider of Physical Therapy
throughout Central Pennsylvania.”
